Head to Beer Garden Brewing on Tuesday 24 April for a healthy dose of shark science, biology and ecology, and a cold beverage, at 'Sharks in the Brewery'.
Another great FREE and inclusive event open to community as part of SALT Festival 2018.
The Eyre Peninsula is home to spectacular coastline and unique marine life. People come from all over the world to experience what we are lucky to call home. But how much do you really know about the SALTY world?
Did you know the modern sharks have been around for longer than 100 million years?
What about the fact that blue gropers can live up to 70 years and that they are all born as females?
Did you know that Port Lincoln, home of the SALT Festival is one of only a handful of places on Earth that you can swim with the white sharks, and that not only does this provide an economic benefit to the local economy, but it is also helping to improve human perceptions of the vulnerable species which is key to increasing conservation awareness.
Come along to the Sharks in the Brewery event, where you will learn more about the SALTY world from scientists and conservationists who spend their day to day lives researching and protecting our amazing marine life.
See and touch a replica model of white shark jaws and teeth, have a closer look at a shark cage and really immerse yourself in the whole other world that lives beneath the waves.
For in the end we protect only what we love, we love only what we understand and we understand only what we are taught.
And while you are there, try the Cage Diver IPA (beer) and support a local business with sustainability at the forefront.
Proudly brought to you by Natural Resources Eyre Peninsula.
Love EP, there’s nowhere else I want to be!
